Chamber Notes

Saturday, May 4, 2024

I attended the Annual Chamber of Commerce banquet on Thursday evening.

This year’s event was, without a doubt, a success.

Everything was right on point, from the food, to the theme, to the speaker, and award recipients.

Although it was Chamber Executive Director Christian Johnson’s first banquet he knocked it out of the park.

Johnson appeared relaxed and comfortable in his new role and was a fine host for the evening.

Congratulations to all the award winners.

Every one of them deserved the honor.

Motivational Speaker Cindy Rowe had an inspiring presentation, and shared on the importance of kindness, not only in our personal lives, but in business as well.

She spoke of collaboration, and observing all the business members interacting, it was apparent we do that.

The evening was actually fun, especially the choosing of the best table decoration celebrating the theme of Cinco de Mayo.

I’ll never forget one particularly piercing scream of approval.

They must have really liked that centerpiece.

Those Chamber members in attendance symbolized a commitment to community engagement.

I salute the Chamber of Commerce for supporting local businesses and advocating for the importance of a strong economy, as well as, the overall well-being of our community.

I’m excited for the future that awaits us.

Yes, it was a successful evening all around.

Once again, thank you Chamber for being an integral part of our community.

As the speaker’s message stated, it’s about coming together and showing acts of kindness.

It will indeed start a ripple effect.

Together, we can build a brighter, more prosperous future for our businesses and our community.

See you out there.
