Solutions

Saturday, April 8, 2023

Over the last couple of months I’ve had the opportunity to speak with some of the area candidates in Kennett.

It has been enlightening to say the least.

You couldn’t ask for a more diverse group.

We discussed many topics and I thoroughly enjoyed the conversations.

The three concerns that continued to surface among them were jobs, healthcare, and street repair.

I agree and came up with a few more.

Drugs, population retention, and cultivating a culture of poverty.

There are many issues facing Kennett.

Now, we need solutions.

Kennett is standing on a precipice right now and the next few years must see improvement or it will not bode well for this community.

One thing is for sure.

One mayor cannot fix all these problems.

It’s going to take the help of the city council, the county commission, and the community.

I encourage the citizens to get educated on the issues facing our community.

Get active.

Get involved.

We need to hear your voice.

We need solutions.

If we don’t initiate a plan to attract industry and medical facilities then we’re going to see a lot more “for sale” signs pop up.

The longer we wait, the more difficult it will be to bounce back.

I enjoyed meeting all the candidates and I intend to stay optimistic.

Kennett is full of good people.

We’ve lost a lot of things over the last few years. We can’t afford to lose much more, especially one of our greatest assets.

Our citizens.

See you out there.
