On the week before my daughter graduates from high school, my emotions are cycling rapidly. In what seems like an instant, my small brown-eyed baby has become this phenomenal human being. She has excelled academically, yet her achievements rest in her social skills, character, integrity, and kindness. Although tears dot my cheeks every few days, my heart is filled with so much joy. Many ”lasts” have occurred, but now there are so many “firsts” on the horizon. In my hopes for my daughter’s future (along with my love of books), I wish to share some wisdom from some timeless reads.
