October 4, 2018

At approximately 10:18 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Missouri Probation and Parole office in reference to a wanted person. Upon arrival, officers subsequently arrested 21 year old Steven Benford of Malden on an active Missouri Probation and Parole warrant. Benford was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

At approximately 12:11 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Kennett Police Department in reference to someone fraudulently using the victims banking account. Upon arrival, the victim advised officers that someone had used their debit card information without permission. Officers did identify, locate, and speak with the suspect however, the incident remains under investigation.

At approximately 8:31 p.m., officers arrested 41 year old Joel Torres of Poplar Bluff on a Kennett Municipal warrant. Torres was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

October 5, 2018

At approximately 12:48 a.m., officer were dispatched to Walmart on First Street in reference to property damage. Upon arrival, officers learned that someone had damaged a vehicle. At the time of this report, there are no suspects and the incident is still under investigation.

At approximately 1:19 a.m., officer arrested 32 year old Jonathan Flood on two active Kennett Municipal warrants. Flood was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrants only.

At approximately 9:08 a.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 300 block of N. Walnut in reference to a suspicious person in the victim’s back yard. Upon arrival, officers learned that the suspect had been advised several times in the past to stay away from the victim and their residence. Officers subsequently located and arrested 40 year old Kenneth Turnbow of Kennett for Trespassing. Turnbow was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center pending the filing of formal charges by the Kennett Municipal Prosecutor’s office.

At approximately 12:16 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 200 block of S. Main Street in reference to an unresponsive person. Upon arrival, officers learned that the patient had consumed alcohol and prescription medications. A family member also provided officers with a baggie of prescription medications that had not been prescribed to the patient and that had been located inside the residence by the family member. At that point, the patient was treated and transported by Medics. Officers prepared a report, which will be forwarded to the Dunklin County Prosecutor’s office for the filing of formal charges against the patient for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

At approximately 12:24 p.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1800 block of Independence Circle in reference to a disturbance with shots possibly being fired. Upon arrival, officers learned that there had been no shots fired. While speaking with the individuals present, officers learned that one had an active Kennett Municipal warrant. Officers subsequently arrested 27 year old Brittany Scales of Kennett on the active Kennett Municipal warrant. Scales was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

At approximately 2:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of Pool Street in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, officers learned that someone had stolen an item from the victim’s yard. At the time of this report, there are no suspects, and the incident remains under investigation.

At approximately 3:52 p.m., officers were contacted at the Kennett Police Department in regards to several indecent photographs being sent to a cell phone belonging to a 16 year old juvenile. At the time of this report, the incident is still under investigation.

October 6, 2018

At approximately 12:33 a.m., officers arrested 44 year old Terry Davis of Kennett on an active Kennett Municipal warrant. Davis later posted bond and was released with a new court date.

At approximately 1:25 a.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 500 block of S. Hopper Street in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, and after subsequent investigation, officers arrested 25 year old Anna Cole of Kennett for Domestic Assault 4th Degree. Cole was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center pending the filing of formal charges by the Dunklin County Prosecutor’s office.

At approximately 6:29 a.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 600 block of S. Hopper Street in reference to property damage. Upon arrival, one party had already left. Officers completed a report, which will be forwarded to the Dunklin County Prosecutor’s office for the filing of formal charges against the party that left for Domestic Assault 4th Degree.
