William Swinton, 64, the son of the late Raymond and Lylie Swinton was born June 1, 1954 in Kennett. He entered into eternity on April 2, 2019 in Hayti, Mo.
He was a lifelong Kennett resident. He attended Kennett Public Schools and was known throughout the community as a kind, friendly man. He was employed for many years at the Cotton Boll Sheltered Workshop.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Barbara, Raymond Jr., Martha Thompson, Mae Joyce Livingston, Bobby Swinton, and Lilly “Lela” Johnson.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Pamela Peete-Swinton of Memphis, Tenn.; his daughter, April Denise Swinton of Memphis, Tenn.; stepsons Andre Peete and Damon Nesbitt; a sister-in-law, Clusteen Swinton of Benton Harbor, Mich.; a brother-in-law, YM Livingston of Newport, Ark.; five nieces, Demetra (Johnie) Roberts, Stephanie (Stacy) Riley, Lila Denham-Rodgers, Carolyn (Jerome) Knox and Rasheda Swinton; five nephews, Misiri (Kim) Parker, Felix (Deborah) Collier, Raymond (Ashley) Swinton, Chris (Kim) Conley and James Gary II; a host of cousins, great nieces, great nephews and friends; and special friends, his Autumn View neighbors, Larry, Ray and James, his Cotton Boll Workshop co-workers, the Childress and Hawkins family, and Cora Borders.
His family and friends will gather Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. to celebrate his life at Lighthouse Church of Jesus Christ, 1401 East 5th Street in Kennett, Mo.
