Lottie Mae (Haraway) Plumley, 96, the daughter of the late Parker Newton Haraway and Maudie Lee (Whitehead) Haraway, was born August 17, 1928 in Rogersville, Alabama, and went to be with her Lord on September 16, 2024 at Springhouse Village Assisted Living in Springfield, Mo.

Lottie was a graduate of Kennett High School. She married Billy Lee Plumley on March 30, 1951 in Piggott, Ark. He preceded her in death April 18, 1995. Their son, Steven Lee Plumley, preceded them in death July 16, 1983. She was also preceded by her brother, Clifford Haraway; sister, Mauren Hawkins; and twin brother, Lonnie Haraway.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Emmons and husband, Gary, of Dewey, Ariz.; son, William Robert (Bob) Plumley and wife, Carol, of Springfield, Mo.; grandchildren, Robert Plumley and wife, Becky, Leah Manley and husband, Dominique, Jessica Andrews and husband, Eric and LeeAnn Beatty and husband, Garrett; ten wonderful great-grandchildren; her sister, Olene Lemonds, of Kennett; and many loved nieces and nephews.

Lottie loved spending time with her family, helping in the kitchen at church, and playing cards with her friends. She loved the Lord and was a member of Ely Baptist Church. Lottie’s career was in banking. She began as a bookkeeper at the Bank of Kennett and retired as a loan officer.

Visitation will be held from 1- 2 p.m. Saturday, September 21, 2024 at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett. Funeral service will immediately follow. Internment will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery following the service.

 Donations to the American Heart Association (heart.org) in Lottie’s name would be greatly appreciated by the family.
