George Henry Moore, also known as Buddy, made his transition to Heaven, meeting Jesus healed and healthy, Thursday, September 26, 2024, at the age of seventy-four.
He was born April 1, 1950, in Kennett, Missouri, to Arvil George “Ty” and Violet Maudie Lorene Moore, who preceded him in death.
He was also preceded in death by one sister, Linda Sue Ivy, one brother, Jerry Wayne Moore, and one grandson, Brooks Daniel Burlison.
In December of 1970, he was united in marriage to Ada Lura Smith, who survives.
Other survivors include: one son, Chris (Kim) Moore of Steele, Mo.; two daughters, Hope (Brandon) Lane of Hornersville, Brooke (Daniel) Burlison, also of Hornersville; ten grandchildren, Garron Burlison, Matthew Moore, Addie Lane, Jada Burlison, Brennan Lane, Mollie Moore, Lacey Lane, Ty Lane, Bryce Burlison, and Loren Lane; and a host of other family and friends.
Buddy graduated from Senath-Hornersville High School in 1968 and pursued an education degree from University of the Ozarks. He worked as a teacher and coach at Manila before working at Noranda for several years. He owned and operated Moore’s Auto Parts in Senath.
He loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals, gardening, and cheering on his grandbabies at sporting events. He loved coaching Hornersville Little League for many years. He was of the baptist faith and a member of Hornersville Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday school.
Funeral services were held Monday, September 30, 2024 at Hornersville Baptist Church with Rev. Alex Palmer officiating. Burial followed in the Horner Cemetery at Hornersville.
Honored to serve as pallbearers were Garron Burlison, Dale Smith, Marty Moore, Terry Kellums, Jerry Branum, Matthew Moore. Honorary pallbearers: Brice Burlison, Ty Lane and Jim Schell.
