Sammy Brown

Sammy Brown, 62, Kennett, died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2003, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete with the McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett.

Bennie Burdin

Bennie R. Burdin, 93, of Piggott, Ark., formerly of Rector, Ark., died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2003, at the Piggott Hospital.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Wednesday, Aug. 27, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Futrell Butler officiating.

Burial will follow at the Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector.

R.D. Burgess

R.D. "Bunt" Burgess, 64, of Holcomb, Mo., died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2003, at the University Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete with the McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett.

Allan Franks

Allan Franks, 51, of Parsons, Tenn., died Monday, Aug. 25, 2003, at his residence.

Survivors include one son, Allan Franks, Jr., of McKenzie; four brothers, David Franks, of Parsons, Darrell and Mark Franks, of Missouri and Michael Franks, of Florida; two sisters, Linda Watson and Debbie Cannon, of Missouri and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 1p.m. today, Wednesday, Aug. 27, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett.

Burial was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.

Decatur County Funeral Home of Parsons was in charge of arrangements.

Willard McFarland

Willard Benard McFarland, 86, of Hornersville, Mo., died Monday, Aug. 25, 2003 at the Med in Memphis, Tenn.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, Aug. 27, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Hornersville. Masonic services will also be held Wednesday night.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, at the Hornersville Methodist Church with Revs. Jim Hogue and David Powell officiating.

Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Blytheville, Ark.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hornersville Masonic Lodge No. 215, P.O. Box 334, Hornersville, Mo. 63855.

Thomas Nichols

Thomas Lindell Nichols, 51, of Hornersville, Mo., died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2003 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Blytheville, Ark.

Born Jan. 13, 1952 in Portageville, Mo., a son of the late Lester Lee and Annie Belle Nichols, he was a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include five sisters, Lena Cole, Lorene Canoy, Carolyn LaRue, Jacquelin Horton and Norma Reagan; one brother, Walter Nichols and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bradshaw-Powell Funeral Home of Steele, Mo., listed no services.

Melinda Webber

Melinda Webber, 29, of Clarkton, Mo., died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2003, at Three Rivers Healthcare North in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete with the Bradshaw Funeral Home of Malden, Mo.
