June 28, 2022

Officers responded to 702 West Seventh Street (Alleyway) in reference to a domestic altercation. When officers arrived there was a vehicle attempting to leave the residence. A traffic stop was conducted and officers made contact with the two parties involved in the altercation. Both parties declined to pursue charges regarding the domestic altercation. The driver of the vehicle, Donshunna Pirtle, was issued citations for No Operators, No Insurance and a Child Restraint Violation. It was then discovered that Pirtle had an active arrest warrant issued by Kennett Municipal Court for a traffic violation. Pirtle was arrested on the warrant and transported to the Pemiscot County Justice Center, where she was held in lieu of a $200 cash or surety bond.

June 29, 2022

A male subject came to the Caruthersville Police Department to report that an unknown female was beating on his door. The reporting party stated when he opened the door, she was bleeding from her head. This female, later identified as Ashlyn Tosh, was later located at 15th Street and Ward Avenue. She reported that she had been assaulted, but couldn’t give officers any information about the assault. This matter is still under investigation.

June 30, 2022

Caruthersville Fire Department were dispatched to 1410 Franklin Avenue in reference to a house fire. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and the investigation is ongoing.

Officers were on patrol when they heard what they believed to be gun shots on the East Side of Town. They then responded to the area of Adams and Belle Avenue, where they observed multiple vehicles and people leaving the area. An investigation of the area revealed multiple crime scenes, with over 50 assorted caliber shell casings located. The investigation continues.

July 4, 2022

The Caruthersville Fire Department responded to several structure and grass fires throughout the day and night.

Officers responded to the area around East 14th and Franklin Avenue several times to deal with large unruly crowds recklessly shooting fireworks at homes, citizens and officers. Due to several injuries and the very large crowd, mutual aid was requested. Several surrounding law enforcement agencies responded to assist the officers.
