CARUTHERSVILLE POLICE REPORTS

Officers arrested Deborah Hunter, 28, of Caruthersville, on an active warrant through Caruthersville Municipal Court, for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Domestic Assault. Hunter was taken to the Pemiscot County Justice Center, where she was held on a $232 cash only bond.

December 9, 2021

Officers responded to 701 Eastwood Ave. in reference to a domestic assault in progress. Upon arrival officers conducted an investigation, at which time they spoke with both parties involved in the reported assault. As a result of that investigation, officers arrested a 40-year-old male from Caruthersville and trasported him to the Pemiscot County Justice Center. The subject is being held pending the filing of formal charges for Domestic Assault 1st Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child 2nd Degree.

December 13, 2021

Caruthersville officers responded to 303 East Eighth Street in reference to a domestic assault in progress. Upon arrival, officers observed a 50-year-old female assaulting her 25-year-old daughter as the daughter was attempting to leave the residence. As the officers attempted to separate the two, the mother began to strike the daughter again. After physically separating the two, officers arrested the mother and transported her to the Pemiscot County Justice Center. She is being held pending the filing of formal charges with the Pemiscot Prosecuting Attorney for Domestic Assault and Willfully Opposing.

December 17, 2021

Officers conducted a traffic stop on a maroon Ford Expedition. When making contact with the driver, a 40-year-old male from Kennett, officers detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. At that time, officers removed both the driver and a 30-year-old female passenger from the vehicle. After gaining consent to search the vehicle, officers discovered a controlled substance along with a loaded firearm in the vehicle. Officers arrested both subjects and transported them to the Pemiscot County Justice Center to be held pending the filing of formal charges. Charges will be filed on the male for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. The female is being held on the charge of Possession of Marijuana.
