Reflections

Another year has come and gone in the Bootheel and it’s time to reflect on the events of last year and prepare for 2020.

Once again I’d like to thank all the people that allowed me the opportunity to interview them and share their stories. I’ve met some wonderful people this year.

I’ve met veterans and teachers that inspired me, as well as doctors and nurses that continue to go above and beyond, even with the continued absence of a hospital in our county.

I’ve met our youth that instill hope for our future.

From breast cancer survivors and first responders, to mayors and business owners, I thank you all.

Also a big thank you to all our columnists and stringers. You are all much appreciated.

I also want to thank you, the reader. I hope you’ve enjoyed the DDD this year and ask for your continued support in the coming year as we strive to bring you the most informative, enriching, and entertaining community paper in the region.

We’ve got big plans for the Delta Dunklin Democrat this coming year including a special magazine that highlights our popular From the Vaults section.
