New Year's Day: A fresh start
Another year has come and gone in the Bootheel and itís time to reflect on the events of last year and prepare for 2019.
Once again Iíd like to thank all the people that allowed me the opportunity to interview them and share their stories.
Iíve met some wonderful people this year.
Iíve met inspiring veterans and teachers, as well as doctors and nurses that encouraged the community even in the face of adversity.
And the kids.
Cute grade schoolers and teenagers that instilled hope for our future.
Breast cancer survivors, first responders, mayors and board members, and business owners.
Thank you all.
Thanks to all of our columnists. Youíre much appreciated.
I also want to thank you, the reader. I hope youíve enjoyed the DDD this year and ask for your support in the coming year as we strive to bring you the most informative, enriching, and entertaining community paper in the region.
Weíve got big plans for the Delta Dunklin Democrat this coming year including special sections this spring spotlighting education in the area and the business women of Dunklin County.
Enjoy the New Year celebrations.
I look forward to a fresh start.
Laugh and reflect with your family and friends and weíll be here in 2019 to report on and create more of those special memories.
Happy New Year from all of us at the DDD.
See you out there.
