Local author begins lecture series

Local author Finis Caldwell will be conducting a series of lectures beginning Friday, December 7 at the Freedom House in Holcomb.

The lectures will center around a commentary on the book of Mark written by David Stewart.

Stewart is a graduate of the Harding School of Biblical Studies, Harding University, and Harding School of Theology. He has served as a minister for churches of christ in Arkansas and Kansas.

Stewart has also taught courses as an adjunct instructor in Bible and Communication at Harding University. He currently serves as the assistant editor of the Truth for Today commentary series at Resource Publications.

Caldwell is a member of the first graduating class at Harding in 1959 and has authored several books including including a definitive study on angels.

The lectures will be open to the public and all are encouraged to attend.

Freedom House is located at 27791 MO-25 in Holcomb.

The lectures will be held 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. every Friday.
