September 30, 2018

At approximately 12:44 a.m., officers arrested 32 year old Anthony Williams of Kennett on a state of Missouri warrant issued through Dunklin County and a Kennett Municipal warrant. Williams was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrants only.

At approximately 6:17 p.m., officers arrested 25 year old Jashwa Sauceda of Bragg City on an active state of Missouri warrant issued out of Dunklin County. Sauceda was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

October 1, 2018

At approximately 3:12 p.m., officers were dispatched to a residence located in the 1200 block of Pruitt Street in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, officers learned that several items had been stolen from the residence. At the time of this report, there are no suspects, and the incident remains under investigation.

October 2, 2018

At approximately 6:59 a.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 300 block of South Walnut Street in reference to an assault. Upon arrival, officers learned that the victim’s boyfriend had assaulted her, stole her debit card, and caused damage to her vehicle before fleeing the scene. The suspect was not located however, a report was prepared and forwarded to the Dunklin County Prosecutor’s office for the filing of formal charges.

At approximately 9:36am, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 300 block of S.Main Street in reference to a burglary in progress with shots having been fired. Upon arrival, officers located the suspect in the resident’s back yard being held at gun point by the home owner. Officers learned that the suspect was caught entering the victims residence and subsequently refused to leave the property at which point the homeowner fired a warning shot. According to the homeowner, the suspect who was obviously under the influence of some type of controlled substance still refused to leave and was in the process of approaching the victim as officers arrived. It should be noted that while securing the suspect, officers located narcotic related paraphernalia on his person that contained a small amount of methamphetamine. Officers subsequently arrested 28 year old Jeremy Jefferson of Kennett for Attempted 1st Degree Burglary, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Jefferson was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center pending the filing of formal charges by the Dunklin County Prosecutor’s office.

At approximately 2:56 p.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 800 block of W. Washington Street in reference to fraud. Upon arrival, officers learned that someone had used the victim’s checking account information to set up accounts for phone and television use. At the time of this report, the suspect(s) have not been identified and the incident remains under investigation.

October 2, 2018

At approximately 4:11 p.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 800 block of Park Street. At the time of this report, no further information is available and the incident remains under investigation.

At approximately 6:26 p.m., officers were dispatched to Walmart on First Street in reference to a shoplifter fleeing the store. Upon arrival, officers were unable to locate the suspect, and the incident remains under investigation.

At approximately 8:58 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Missouri Probation and Parole office in reference to a wanted person. Upon arrival, officers subsequently arrested 27 year old Zachary Simmons of Kennett on an active Kennett Municipal warrant. Simmons was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

October 3, 2018

At approximately 12:13 p.m., officers arrested 37 year old Nathan Fisher of Kennett on an active state of Missouri warrant issued out of Dunklin County. Fisher was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

At approximately 2:32 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on the South Bypass near Teaco Road. During the stop, officer subsequently located an undisclosed amount of marijuana. Officers subsequently arrested 57 year old Charles Stark of Senath for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Clark was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center pending the filing of formal charges.

At approximately 5:52 p.m., officers were dispatched to Walmart on First Street in reference to a shoplifter. Upon arrival, and after subsequent investigation, officers arrested 35 year old Leandra Clements of Kennett for shoplifting. Clements was later released on a Kennett Municipal Court summons pending her court date.

At approximately 8:01 p.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 300 block of King Street in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, one party left and agreed to stay away.

October 4, 2018

At approximately 3:52 a.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 600 block of N. Vandeventer Street in reference to an assault. Upon arrival, the victim reported to officers that the suspect had struck her in the face. At the time of this report, the incident is still under investigation.

At approximately 10:11 a.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of Butler Drive in reference to property damage. Upon arrival, officers learned that sometime during the night, someone punctured tires on three separate vehicles. At the time of this report, there are no suspects, however the incident is still under investigation.
