Sharon Kay Carter
Sharon Kay Carter, daughter of the late Truman Harmon and Virginia (Wilhite) Harmon was born September 3,1950 in Poplar Bluff, and departed this life on July 6, 2018 at the age of 67 years. Sharon married Jerry Carter, Sr. on December 28, 1968 in Qulin.
Survivors include: two sons: Jerry O’Dell Carter, Jr. of Fisk, Mo., and Travis (Ashley) Carter of Poplar Bluff; two daughters: Angela June (John) Kassing of Poplar Bluff, and Sherri Kay Joiner of Fisk, Mo.; five grandchildren: Truman Aldridge, Sarah Joiner, Emily Joiner, Zachary Joiner and Emersyn Carter; one brother: Gary Truman Harmon of Kennett; three sisters: Shirley Gene Jackson and Carol Ann Harmon, both of Kennett, and Reva Ann Todd of Gibson, Mo.; other relatives and many friends.
Sharon was of Poplar Bluff, and passed away July 6, 2018 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
Visitation was held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at the McDaniel Chapel in Kennett with Reverend Gary Hancock officiating. Burial followed in Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton.
Honored to serve as pallbearers were Corey Carter, Jeff Berger, Tyler Haygood, Adam Yealey and Gary L. Carter.
Memorials may be made to Grace Christian Fellowship Church in Poplar Bluff.
McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett was in charge of the arrangements.
