March 15, 2018

At approximately 9:34 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 600 block of N. Jackson Street after receiving multiple reports of shots being fired. One of the reports indicated that someone had been struck by the gunfire. Officers learned that no one had been injured however, the home, was struck several times. At this time the incident is still under investigation.

March 16, 2018

At approximately 1:51 a.m., Officers attempted to stop a passenger vehicle that had been observed travelling on Jones Street at a high rate of speed. The vehicle failed to yield to officers at which point a vehicle pursuit ensued east on Missouri Route VV, south on U.S. 412, and then west on Missouri Route A. The suspect vehicle eventually pulled into a driveway on Missouri Route A at which point the driver fled on foot while officers were still attempting to catch up. At this time, the driver has not been located nor identified.

At approximately 3:48 a.m., Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Independence and Russell Streets. During the stop, officers arrested 32 year old Brian Simms of Kennett on an active Kennett Municipal warrant for his arrest charging him with Shoplifting. Simms later posted bond and was released pending his court date.

At approximately 7:48 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the 800 block of Clipper Street. Upon arrival, officers learned that the disturbance was only a verbal argument between family members and one party agreed to leave after no one wished to pursue charges.

At approximately 8:17 a.m., Kennett Officers observed a female walking near the intersection of Emerson and Wayne Street and learned that the female had an active warrant for her arrest. Officers subsequently arrested 33 year old Terenia Malady of Kennett on a State of Missouri warrant issued through Butler County charging Malady with Non Support. During the arrest, officers also located narcotic related paraphernalia on Malady’s person. Malady was released on a Kennett Municipal Court summons for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia however was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

At approximately 1:10 p.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to the Wal-Mart Supercenter parking lot in reference to a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, officers completed a private property accident report form, which was provided to both drivers.

At approximately 1:29 p.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Independence Avenue in reference to a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, officers completed a private property accident report form, which was provided to both drivers.

March 18, 2019

At approximately 12:08 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1000 block of Henderson Street in reference to a burglary. Upon arrival, officers learned that someone had unlawfully entered the residence and took an undisclosed amount of property. At the time of this report there were no suspects.

At approximately 12:38 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Harrison Street in reference to a runaway juvenile. Officers later located the juvenile who was turned over to the Dunklin County Juvenile Office.

At approximately 1:48 a.m., Kennett Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Missouri Route O during which the vehicle failed to yield and a vehicle pursuit ensued. The pursuit continued south on U.S. 412 during which several items, including narcotics and a firearm, were thrown from the vehicle however later recovered. The pursuit eventually ended near the Wal-Mart in Paragould Arkansas. Officers subsequently arrested 29 year old Dandre Brown and 24 year old Kelli Greenway both of Paragould Arkansas both for Resisting/Interfering with an arrest for a Felony, Armed Criminal Action, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Use of a Firearm, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Tampering with Evidence in a Felony, and littering. Brown also faces numerous traffic charges as well and both subjects will be facing charges in Arkansas as well.

At approximately 4:43 p.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to the McDonald’s restaurant in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival and after subsequent investigation, officers learned that the disturbance was only a verbal argument between a male and female and that no one wished to pursue charges. Both subjects left on their own and went their different ways.

At approximately 6:42 p.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to the Wal-Mart Supercenter in reference to a shoplifter. Upon arrival and after subsequent investigation, officers arrested 39 year old Lance Hopper of Rector Arkansas for shoplifting. Hopper was later released on a Kennett Municipal Court summons pending his court date.

March 19, 2018

At approximately 6:23 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 600 block of Walter Street in reference to property damage. Upon arrival, officers learned that someone had cut a lock off of the gate that goes into the residents back yard. At the time of this report there are no suspects.

At approximately 7:34 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to the Missouri Probation and Parole office in reference to a wanted person. Upon arrival, officers subsequently arrested 26 year old Tevin Hampton of Kennett on an active warrant issued for Hampton’s arrest for absconding his parole. Hampton was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

At approximately 11:08 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to the Kennett Police Department in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, officers were advised that several tools had been stolen from a residence in the 200 block of South Jackson Street. At the time of this report there were no suspects and it is unclear how the tools were taken.

March 20,2018

At approximately 10:27 a.m., Kennett Officers arrested 34 year old Joshua Hodge of Kennett on an active Kennett Municipal warrant charging Hodge with failing to appear on the original charge of Possession of Synthetic Marijuana (K2). Hodge was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

At approximately 12:45 p.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to the Kennett Police Department in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, officers learned that someone had unlawfully entered the victims residence in the 1800 block of West Dunklin and stole several items. At the time of this report, there are no suspects.

March 21, 2018

At approximately 12:35 a.m., Kennett Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Independence and West Dunklin. During the stop, officers located and recovered an undisclosed amount of Methamphetamine and Marijuana. Officers subsequently arrested 55 year old Benny Hogan of Kennett for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Hogan was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on a twenty-four hour hold pending the filing of formal charges by the Dunklin County Prosecutor’s office.

At approximately 5:41 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to the police department in reference to a stolen vehicle. Upon arrival, officers learned that a gold colored Chrysler Pacifica had been stolen from a residence in the 900 block of Floyd Street. At the time of this report, the vehicle is still listed as stolen.

At approximately 7:22 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1100 block of Sarah Drive in reference to a stolen vehicle. Upon arrival, officers were advised that a vehicle had been stolen from the residence however after subsequent investigation; officers learned that the vehicle had been repossessed.

At approximately 8:04 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to the Kennett Police Department in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, officers were advised that several items had been stolen from a residence in the 1500 block of Russell Street. At the time of this report, there were no suspects.

At approximately 2:14 p.m., Kennett Officers arrested 31 year old Josh Beck of Kennett on an active Kennett Municipal Court warrant charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Animal at Large. Beck was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

March 22, 2018

At approximately 9:29 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to the Missouri Probation and Parole office in reference to a wanted person. Upon arrival, officers subsequently arrested 52 year old Bruce Kelley of Kennett on an active Kennett Municipal warrant charging Kelley with failing to appear on the original charge of assault. Kelley later posted bond and was released pending a new court date.

At approximately 10:56 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 800 block of Riggs Street in reference to a disturbance. Officers subsequently arrested 30 year old Brittney Neal of Kennett for possession of marijuana. Neal was later released on a Kennett Municipal Court summons pending her court date.

March 23, 2018

At approximately 12:14 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to the Kennett Police Department in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, officers were advised that the victim’s cell phone had been stolen while they were at Wal-Mart. At the time of this report, there are no suspects and the incident is still under investigation.

At approximately 3:29 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to the 84 West Motel in reference to a vehicle driving on the property that had caused damage to a fence. Upon arrival, and after subsequent investigation, officers located and arrested 39 year old Damien Tinsley of Kennett for Leaving the Scene of an Accident and Driving While Intoxicated. Tinsley was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center pending the filing of formal charges by the Dunklin County Prosecutor’s office.

At approximately 7:49 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 300 block of North Jackson Street in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, and after subsequent investigation, no charges were pursued and one person left on their own.

At approximately 11:49 a.m., Kennett Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Main and Washington Streets. During the stop, officers officers located an undisclosed amount of marijuana. Officers subsequently arrested 27 year old Eyvonne Hindmon of Kennett for Possession of Marijuana. Hindmon was later released on a Kennett Municipla Court summons pending her court date.

At approximately 3:51 p.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1200 block of Gladys in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, officers learned that someone had stolen a four wheeler from the residence. At the time of this report there are no suspects.

At approximately 10:38 p.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 800 block of Park Street. While there, officers arrested 27 year old Jeffery Herrod on an active State of Missouri warrant issued through Scott County charging Herrod with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Non Support. Herrod was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

March 24, 2018

At approximately 12:29 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 600 block of N. Jackson Street in reference to threats being made. Upon arrival, and after subsequent investigation, officers arrested 55 year old Terry Jenkins of Kennett for Domestic Assault 3rd Degree and Harassment 2nd Degree. Jenkins was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on a twenty-four hour hold, pending the filing of formal charges by the Dunklin County Prosecutor’s office.

At approximately 10:06 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1900 block of N. Horner Drive in reference to a stolen vehicle. Upon arrival, officers learned that a white 2010 Buick Enclave had been stolen from the residence during the night. At the time of this report, there are no suspects and the vehicle has not been located.

At approximately 2:32 p.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of Berry Drive in reference to a possible burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the caller who stated that he had heard glass breaking in the rear of the residence and believed someone was breaking into the residence. Upon subsequent investigation, officers located a broken window however, no entry had been made into the residence. At this time, there are no suspects however, the incident remains under investigation.

At approximately 7:01 p.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of South Walnut Street in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival officers learned that the disturbance was only a verbal argument between a married couple. Neither party wished to pursue charges, and one agreed to leave the residence for the evening.

At approximately 11:03 p.m., Kennett Officers arrested 20 year old Michael Crosseno of Kennett on an active Kennett Municipal Court warrant for his arrest charging Crosseno with failing to appear on the original charge of financial responsibility. Crosseno later posted bond on the warrant and was released with a new court date.

March 25, 2018

At approximately 12:38 a.m., Kennett Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of the South Bypass and Fifth Streets. During the stop, officers subsequently arrested 30 year old Martin Villasana of Kennett for Driving While Intoxicated. After being held in the Dunklin County Justice Center for eight hours, Villasana was released on a Kennett Municipal Court summons pending his court date.

At approximately 1:45 a.m., Kennett Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of the North Bypass and Commercial Streets. During the stop, officers subsequently arrested 22 year old Jonathan Caraway of Kennett for Driving While Intoxicated. Caraway was released on a Kennett Municipal Court summons pending his court date and transported to the Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center Emergency Room for treatment due to his blood alcohol content being over the threshold for him to be incarcerated.

At approximately 9:54 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to the Missouri Probation and Parole office in reference to narcotics being found on the property. Upon arrival, and after subsequent investigation, officers arrested 64 year old Johnny Johnson of Kennett for Possession of a Controlled Substance Inside a Correctional Facility. Johnson was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center pending the filing of formal charges by the Dunklin County Prosecutor’s office.

At approximately 11:09 p.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1000 block of Henderson Street in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival and after subsequent investigation, no one wished to pursue charges and one party was allowed to leave for the night.

At approximately 11:18 p.m., Kennett Officers arrested 53 year old Dewon Pittman of Hayti on an active Kennett Municipal warrant charging him with failing to appear on the original charge of Shoplifting. Pittman was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

March 26, 2018

At approximately 12:40 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to the Jan Motel on Independence Avenue in reference to property damage. Upon arrival, officers learned that a juvenile had poured sugar into the gas tank of a vehicle. After subsequent investigation, officers located and detained the juvenile for the property damage and turned him over to the Dunklin County Juvenile office.

At approximately 2:21 a.m., Kennett Officers arrested 35 year old Cassandra Taylor of Kennett on an active Kennett Municipal warrant charging her with failing to appear on the original charge of shoplifting. Taylor later posted bond and was released pending a new court date.

At approximately 6:37 p.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to the Wal-Mart Supercenter on First Street in reference to a shoplifter. Upon arrival and after subsequent investigation, officers detained a juvenile for shoplifting. The juvenile was later turned over to the Dunklin County Juvenile office for the filing of formal charges.

At approximately 10:39 p.m., Kennett Officers conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of Town and Country. During the stop, officers arrested 17 year old Phillip Holloway of Kennett on a Kennett Municipal warrant and 2 state of Missouri warrants issued through Dunklin County all for failure to appear. Holloway was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrants only.

At approximately 11:35 p.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1000 block of Astrachan Street in reference to an assault. Upon arrival, officers were advised that a suspect had assaulted someone and stolen their phone. At the time of this report, the suspect was identified however not located. A probable cause affidavit was filed with the Dunklin County Prosecutor’s office for 3rd degree assault and Strong Armed Robbery.

March 27, 2018

At approximately 9:17 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 800 block of N. Walnut in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, one party had already left and the other did not wish to pursue charges.

At approximately 11:19 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 600 block of South Main Street in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, officers were advised that at some point during the night, someone had stolen a patio set from outside the residence. At the time of this report, there are no suspects.

At approximately 2:53 p.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to the Country Mart grocery store in reference to a shoplifter that had fled from the store. Upon arrival in the area and after subsequent investigation, officers arrested 57 year old Jeremiah Bryant of Kennett for shoplifting and also on an active state of Missouri warrant issued out of Dunklin County. Bryant was released on a Kennett Municipal court summons for the shoplifting pending his court date however still held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

At approximately 9:17 p.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1000 block of East Fifth Street in reference to an unwanted guest. Upon arrival, and after subsequent investigation, officers arrested 29 year old Jack Walls of Kennett for 1st Degree burglary. Walls was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center pending the filing of formal charges by the Dunklin County Prosecutor’s office.

At approximately 10:23 p.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 400 block of North Baker Drive in reference to assisting another agency. Upon arrival, officers arrested 30 year old Linda Hastings of Kennett on a state of Missouri court order violation issued in Butler County. Hastings was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the court order violation only.

At approximately 11:42 p.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of South Main Street in reference to an unwanted guest. Upon arrival and while investigating the incident, officers arrested 32 year old Angelica Hollywood of Kennett for Assault 3rd Degree on a Law Enforcement Officer and Resisting Arrest. Hollywood was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center pending the filing of formal charges by the Dunklin County Prosecutor’s office.

March 28, 2018

At approximately 1:43 a.m., Kennett Officers arrested 31 year old Charles Johnson of Kennett on a Kennett Municipal Court warrant charging him with failure to appear on the original charge of No Driver’s License. Johnson posted bond and was released with a new court date.

At approximately 8:48 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to the Missouri Probation and Parole office in reference to a wanted person. Upon arrival, officers arrested 25 year old Michael Seabaugh of Gobler on an active warrant for violating the terms of his probation. Seabaugh was transported to the Dunklin County Justice Center and held on the warrant only.

At approximately 9:32 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to TRRMC in reference to a subject causing a disturbance. Upon arrival, and after subsequent investigation, officers arrested 33 year old Jessie Boles of Kennett for Peace Disturbance. Boles was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center pending the filing of formal charges by the prosecutor’s office.

At approximately 1:39 p.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to TRRMC in reference to a subject causing a disturbance. Upon arrival, and after subsequent investigation, officers arrested 58 year old Joe Poe of Kennett for failing to obey a lawful order. Poe was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center pending the filing of formal charges by the prosecutor’s office.

At approximately 4:00 p.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a shoplifter. Upon arrival, and after subsequent investigation, officers arrested 39 year old Angela Cook of Kennett for shoplifting and also on an active Kennett Municipal Court warrant charging Cook with failing to appear on the original charge of shoplifting. Cook was released on a Kennett Municipal Court summons for the new incident after posting bond on the warrant.

March 29, 2018

At approximately 1:08 a.m., Kennett Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Ninth and Jackson Streets. During the stop, officers arrested 19 year old Jaylean Kinnon of Kennett on an active Kennett Municipal warrant for failure to appear. Kinnon later posted bond and was released with a new court date.

At approximately 8:45 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1300 block of W. Washington Street in reference to someone trespassing on the property. Upon arrival, officers subsequently arrested 32 year old Amber Vanalstine of Kennett on an active state of Missouri warrant issued out of Dunklin County charging Vanalstine with violating the terms of her probation. Vanalstine was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

At approximately 10:55 a.m., while investigating an unrelated incident, Kennett Officers arrested 34 year old Joshua Hodge of Kennett for Possession of marijuana under 35 grams. Hodge was released on a Kennett Municipal Court summons pending his court date.

At approximately 11:39 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 400 block of W. 8th Street in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, officers determined that one party had already left and the other did not wish to pursue charges.

At approximately 7:40 p.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1900 block of Wilburn Drive in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, officers learned that a suspect had stolen property while at the residence. At this time, the suspect has not been located.

At approximately 8:30 p.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1100 block of Floyd Street in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, and after subsequent investigation, officers arrested 26 year old Nicholas Ridings of Kennett for trespassing. Ridings was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center pending the filing of formal charges by the Dunklin County Prosecutor’s office.

March 30, 2018

At approximately 6:28 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a residence on S. Anthony Street in reference to an assault. Upon arrival, officers learned that the suspect had already left. After subsequent investigation, officers were unable to locate the suspect however, a probable cause affidavit has been filed with the Dunklin County Prosecutor’s office seeking charges of Domestic Assault 2nd Degree.

At approximately 9:49 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 900 block of College Avenue in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, and after subsequent investigation, neither party involved wished to pursue charges.

At approximately 10:07 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of W. 6th Street in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival and after subsequent investigation, neither party involved wished to pursue charges.

At approximately 10:15 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to the Missouri Probation and Parole office in reference to a wanted person. Upon arrival, officers arrested 45 year old Timothy Easley of Kennett on an warrant for violating the terms of his probation. Easley was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

At approximately 10:44 a.m., Kennett Officers arrested 48 year old Michael Pickard of Kennett on an active Kennett Municipal warrant. Pickard later posted bond and was released with a new court date.

At approximately 10:50 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to the Missouri Probation and Parole office in reference to a wanted person. Upon arrival, officers arrested 28 year old Andrew Rettew of Kennett on an active state of Missouri warrant issued through Dunklin County. Rettew was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

At approximately 1:54 p.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to Cricket Wireless on First Street in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, officers learned that three suspects that appeared to be juveniles had entered the store and then left after stealing merchandise. At the time of this report, the suspects have not been identified.

At approximately 2:33 p.m., Kennett Officers located and arrested the suspect from the previous domestic assault incident on S. Anthony Street. Officers arrested 39 year old Keith Robertson of Kennett on a state of Missouri warrant issued out of Dunklin County for the previous incident and charging him with Domestic Assault 2nd Degree. Robertson was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

At approximately 3:00 p.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1200 block of Gladys Street in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, officers learned that yard decorations had been stolen from the resident’s yard. At the time of this report, there are no suspects.

At approximately 4:01 p.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 500 block of S. Hopper Street in reference to a burglary. Officers were advised that a male and a female had unlawfully entered the residence and stole several items. At the time of this report, the male and female have not been identified.

March 31, 2018

At approximately 12:00 a.m., Kennett Officers conducted a traffic stop during which they subsequently arrested 38 year old Jessica Bridges of Kennett. Bridges was arrested on an active Kennett Municipal Court warrant and was later released after posting bond.

At approximately 6:57 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to J.R.’s Wholesale and Pawn on Saint Francis Street in reference to a burglary alarm. Upon arrival, officers noticed that one door was forced open and another one had indications that entry was attempted. At the time of this report there are no suspects, its believed that nothing was missing from the business, and it appears the alarm frightened the burglar away.

At approximately 8:08 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to Farmhand Supply on Saint Francis Street in reference to a burglary. Upon arrival, officers noticed that one door had been forced open after a padlock had been cut. At the time of this report there are no suspects and its believed that nothing was missing.

At approximately 12:57 p.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a shoplifter who had fled from employees. At the time of this report, the suspect was identified however not located. A probable cause affidavit has been filed with the prosecutor’s office to formally charge the suspect.

At approximately 1:20 p.m., Kennett Officers conducted a traffic stop during which they subsequently arrested 27 year old Detavis Williams of Kennett. Williams was arrested on an active state of Missouri warrant issued through Pemiscot County for failure to appear. Williams later posted bond and was released.

At approximately 2:45 p.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a residence on Wilburn Drive in reference to an unwanted guest. Upon arrival, and after subsequent investigation, officers arrested 28 year old Zechariah Turner of Kennett. Turner was arrested on a Kennett Municipal Court warrant charging him with failure to appear. Turner was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

At approximately 9:39 p.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to the Country Mart on Saint Francis Street in reference to a shoplifter. Upon arrival, and after subsequent investigation, officers arrested 32 year old Joanna Johnson of Kennett for shoplifting. Johnson was later released on a Kennett Municipal Court summons pending her court date.

At approximately 11:45 p.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to the Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center Emergency Room in reference to an assault. At this time, this incident is still under investigation and no further details are being released.

April 1, 2018

At approximately 1:20 p.m., Kennett Officers received information of a wanted person being inside the Family Dollar Store located on First Street. Officers subsequently arrested 20 year old Roger Luttrull of Kennett on an active State of Missouri warrant issued out of Dunklin County charging Luttrull with Forgery. Luttrull was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

At approximately 2:56 p.m., Kennett Officers located a suspect vehicle that had fled the scene of a motor vehicle accident prior to this day. Kennett Officers conducted a traffic stop with the vehicle during which officers subsequently arrested 32 year old Brian Murphy of Bragg City. Murphy was later released on a Kennett Municipal Court summons for Leaving the Scene of an Accident and No Drivers License.

At approximately 4:35 p.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to the Missouri Probation and Parole office in reference to a wanted person. Upon arrival, officers subsequently arrested 41 year old Jimmy Sloan of Kennett on an active Probation and Parole warrant. Sloan was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

At approximately 6:09 p.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to the Palace Theater on First Street in reference to a burglary. Upon arrival, officers noted evidence that the business had been in fact unlawfully entered and were advised that several items had been stolen from within. At the time of this report, there are no suspects.

April 2, 2018

At approximately 12:54 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to the Kennett Police Department in reference to an assault. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who reported being assaulted. Officers later located and arrested the suspect 30 year old Cedrick Harrell of Clarkton. Harrell was released on a Kennett Municipal Court summons for the assault pending his court date.

At approximately 7:54 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1800 block of Independence in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, officers noted that one party had already left the scene and the remaining party refused to pursue charges.

At approximately 8:21 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 700 block of Court Street in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, officers noted that neither party involved wished to pursue charges and that one party agreed to leave.

At approximately 6:59 p.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to the Country Mart grocery store on Saint Francis Street in reference to a shoplifter. Upon arrival, officers learned that the suspect had already left the store on foot after the employees retrieved their property back. At the

At approximately 11:09 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to the Missouri Probation and Parole office in reference to a wanted person. Upon arrival, officers subsequently arrested 44 year old Carl Potts of Kennett on a state of Missouri warrant issued through Dunklin County charging Potts with a narcotics related violation. Potts was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

At approximately 1:31 p.m., Kennett Officers went to a residence in the 800 block of Oaklawn Circle in reference to information being received that narcotics related activity was taking place at the residence. Upon arrival, officers observed a subject who appeared to be attempting to conceal something inside a vehicle. Upon further investigation, officers located an undisclosed amount of marijuana as well as synthetic marijuana inside the vehicle. Officers then arrested 37 year old Tervoris Causey of Kennett for Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Distribute on Government Housing Property and also for Trespassing. Causey was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center pending the filing of formal charges by the Dunklin County Prosecutor’s office.

At approximately 2:02 p.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to the Missouri Probation and Parole office in reference to a wanted person. Upon arrival, officers subsequently arrested 24 year old Kristen Crawford of Kennett on a Kennett Municipal Court warrant charging Crawford with failing to appear. Crawford was later released pending a new court date.

At approximately 2:37 p.m., Kennett Officers received information of a wanted person being at a residence in the 1800 block of Dunklin Street. Upon arrival, officers subsequently arrested 29 year old Richard McCarthy of Kennett on an active Missouri Probation and Parole warrant. McCarthy was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

April 4, 2018

At approximately 4:07 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to Walmart on First Street in reference to a subject trespassing on the property. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the individual and learned that while he had unlawfully been on the property, he had shoplifted as well. Officers subsequently arrested 33 year old Johnny Reed of Kennett for Burglary 1st Degree. Reed was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center pending the filing of formal charges by the Dunklin County Prosecutors office.

At approximately 11:31 a.m., Kennett Officers arrested 34 year old Matthew Waller of Kennett on an active state of Missouri warrant issued through Dunklin County charging Waller with probation violation. Waller was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

At approximately 11:38 a.m., Kennett Officers arrested 31 year old Brian Bogard of Kennett on an active state of Missouri warrant issued through Dunklin County charging Bogard with No Drivers License. Bogard was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

At approximately 5:34 p.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to the Kennett Police Department in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who reported the theft. A juvenile suspect was identified and later turned over to the Dunklin County Juvenile office.

At approximately 7:56 p.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 2000 block of Bradley Street in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, and after subsequent investigation, officers arrested 19 year old David Gattis of Kennett for assault. Gattis was later released on a Kennett Municipal Court summons pending his court date.

April 5, 2018

At approximately 12:13 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of S. Walnut in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers learned that a victim present had been assaulted and as officers were trying to control the scene, one subject failed to comply with the officers. As officers attempted to detain the subject he began resisting however after a brief struggle he was taken into custody. Officers subsequently arrested 19 year old David Gattis for Assault, Failure to obey a Lawful Order, and Resisting Arrest. Gattis was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center pending the filing of formal charges.

At approximately 12:15 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 800 block of Park Street in reference to a domestic disturbance with one party being armed with a firearm. Upon arrival, and after subsequent investigation, officers arrested 24 year old Harold Bays of Kennett for Domestic Assault 3rd Degree and Armed Criminal Action. Bays was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center pending the filing of formal charges by the Dunklin County Prosecutor’s Office.

At approximately 9:46 a.m., officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to two shoplifters. Upon arrival, and after subsequent investigation, officers arrested 29 year old Victoria Amos and 33 year old Maitez Spriggs both of Gobler and both for shoplifting. Both Amos and Spriggs were later released on Kennett Municipal Court summons pending their court date.

At approximately 10:21 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of Varner Street in reference to an assault. Upon arrival, and after subsequent investigation, a suspect was identified however not located.

At approximately 1:21 p.m., Kennett Officers arrested 25 year old Edriko Thomas of Hayti on an active state of Missouri warrant issued through Dunklin County charging Thomas with probation violation. Thomas was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

April 6, 2018

At approximately 7:56 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to the area of Ninth and Jackson streets in reference to a male driving around the area without a driver’s license. Upon arrival in the area, officers learned that the unlicensed driver had went to a local business. Officers subsequently arrested 41 year old Jimmy Wilburn of Kennett for Felony No Driver’s License. Wilburn was released on a summons to appear in the State Court of Dunklin County.

At approximately 9:32 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 400 block of Wayne Street in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that someone had stole multiple items from outside his residence. At the time of this report, there are no suspects.

At approximately 10:52 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to the 84 West Motel in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the owner of the property who advised that property had been stolen from one of the rooms during the night. At the time of this report, this incident is still under investigation.

At approximately 10:34 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to the area of the North Bypass and Vandeventer Streets in reference to a possible intoxicated driver. Upon arrival in the area, officers were able to locate and conducted a traffic stop with the vehicle. Officers subsequently arrested 47 year old Cynthia Weller of Rector, Ark., for Driving While Intoxicated-Drugs. Weller was later released to a family member to seek medical attention due to her intoxication level.

At approximately 9:43 p.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of West Eighth Street in reference to property damage. Upon arrival, officers learned that multiple items belonging to the victim had been damaged while he was inside his residence. At the time of this report, there are no suspects.

At approximately 10:46 a.m., Kennett Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Fifth and Michael Streets. During the stop, officers subsequently arrested 31 year old Bryce Gladden of Caruthersville. Gladden was arrested on an active state of Missouri warrant issued out of New Madrid County charging him with probation violation and on an active Marston Municipal warrant charging him with failure to appear. Gladden was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrants only.

April 7, 2018

At approximately 12:02 a.m., Kennett Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1800 block of Preston Street. During the stop, officers subsequently arrested 24 year old Kody Lyles of Kennett. Lyles was arrested on an active state of Missouri warrant issued out of Dunklin County for Failure to Appear. Lyles was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

At approximately 2:19 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to the Budget Inn on the South Bypass in reference to a subject knocking on doors. Upon arrival, officers subsequently arrested 28 year old Lisa Redden of Kennett. Redden was arrested on an active Kennett Municipal warrant for Failure to Appear. Redden was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

At approximately 7:05 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to the area of Highway 25 near Glen Sain in reference to a motor vehicle that had ran several vehicles off of the roadway and then became stuck in a ditch itself. Upon arrival, and after investigation, officers subsequently arrested 28 year old Patricia Joiner of Kennett for Driving While Intoxicated. Joiner was later released to family members due to her intoxicated level and on a Kennett Municipal Court summons pending her court date.

At approximately 7:09 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of Wilson Street in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, officers noted that items had been stolen off of and out of a vehicle parked outside the residence. At the time of this report, there are no suspects.

At approximately 11:30 a.m., Kennett Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of First and Airport Road. During the stop, officers subsequently arrested 44 year old Travis Orton of Bragg City on an active state of Missouri warrant issued out of Stoddard County charging Orton with Driving While Revoked. Orton was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

At approximately 11:51 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of North Main Street in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, officers spoke with all parties involved neither of which wished to pursue charges. One party agreed to leave.

At approximately 6:03 p.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to the Wal-Mart Supercenter in reference to a shoplifter. Upon arrival, and after subsequent investigation, officers learned that the suspect, 23 year old Justin Easley of Senath, had previously been banned from the store property. Easley was then arrested for Burglary 1st Degree and held in the Dunklin County Justice Center pending the filing of formal charges by the Dunklin County Prosecutor’s office.

At approximately 8:45 p.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to the Probation and Parole office in reference to a wanted person. Upon arrival, officers subsequently arrested 22 year old Damian Wallace of Rector Arkansas on an active State of Missouri warrant for probation violation. Wallace was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

At approximately 8:50 p.m., Kennett Officers observed a vehicle that the occupant inside was wanted by the Malden Police Department in regards to an armed robbery that had occurred in their city. As officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the vehicle failed to yield and a vehicle pursuit ensued. Shortly after the pursuit was initiated on Teaco Road, the vehicle turned onto Third Street where the driver bailed out and fled on foot. At the time of this report, the driver was identified however was not located.

April 8, 2018

At approximately 2:41 a.m., Kennett Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Washington and Walnut Streets. During the stop, officers subsequently arrested 27 year old Rhonda Ward of Kennett for Driving While Intoxicated. Ward was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center and later released on a Kennett Municipal Court summons pending her court date.

At approximately 1:48 a.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on the South Bypass near Wilcoxson’s Furniture Store. Upon arrival, officers located a vehicle that had ran off of the roadway and into a ditch. Officers subsequently arrested 42 year old Bradley Tucker of Columbia Tennessee for Driving While Intoxicated. Tucker was released on a Kennett Municipal Court summons pending his court date and released to seek medical treatment for the injuries he sustained during the accident.

At approximately 6:32 p.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to the Missouri Probation and Parole office in reference to a wanted person. Upon arrival, and after subsequent investigation, officers arrested 45 year old Timothy Easley of Kennett on an active probation/parole violation warrant. Easley was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

At approximately 7:27 p.m., Kennett Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1400 block of South Linden Circle in reference to a stolen vehicle. Upon arrival, officers learned that a black 2011 Dodge Avenger had been stolen from the residence while the owner was away. At the time of this report, a suspect has been identified however, the suspect nor the vehicle have been located.

April 9, 2018

At approximately 9:07 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Missouri Probation and Parole office in reference to a wanted person. Upon arrival, officers subsequently arrested 26 year old Zachary Simmons of Holcomb on an active Probation and Parole warrant. Simmons was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

At approximately 9:10 a.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1100 block of E. 4th Street in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, officers learned that an item had been taken out of a vehicle at the residence. At the time of this report, there are no suspects.

At approximately 9:29 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Missouri Probation and Parole office in reference to a wanted person. Upon arrival, officers subsequently arrested 25 year old Michael Seabaugh of Gobler on an active Probation and Parole warrant. Seabaugh was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

At approximately 11:56 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Huck’s Convenience Store on Saint Francis Street in reference to a shoplifter. Upon arrival, and after subsequent investigation, officers arrested 42 year old Christopher Morris of Kennett for shoplifting. Morris was later released on a Kennett Municipal Court Summons pending his court date.

At approximately 3:18 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Missouri Probation and Parole office in reference to a wanted person. Upon arrival, officers subsequently arrested 40 year old Jamie Bowman of Campbell on an active Probation and Parole warrant. Bowman was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

At approximately 4:00 p.m., officers were notified that the vehicle reported to the Kennett Police Department from a residence on S. Linden Circle, had been located and pursued by several agencies in Pemiscot County and Mississippi County Arkansas. Our department was notified that the driver was taken into custody after the pursuit was ended. Our department would like to thank all of the agencies involved in the pursuit for the recovery of the vehicle and the arrest of the suspect. At this time, paperwork has been filed within the proper jurisdictions for formal charges on the suspect.

At approximately 4:49 p.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of Butler Drive in reference to a wanted person. Upon arrival, officers subsequently arrested 35 year old Frederick Peaks of Kennett on an active Probation and Parole warrant. Peaks was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

At approximately 6:08 p.m., officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a shoplifter that had already left the store. Upon arrival, and after subsequent investigation, officers were able to locate and arrest 47 year old Lonnie Burrow of Kennett for shoplifting. Burrow was later released on a Kennett Municipal Court summons pending his court date.

At approximately 6:10 p.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 900 block of Compress in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, officers learned that it was only a verbal argument and that no one involved wished to pursue charges.

At approximately 9:51 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of U.S. 412 South in reference to a vehicle coming into the city limits and that the occupants had reportedly fired shots from the vehicle on Missouri Route A. Officers located and stopped the vehicle during which they arrested 49 year old Richard Easley of Kennett. Easley was arrested on an active Kennett Municipal Warrant for failure to appear and was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

At approximately 9:53 p.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 900 block of East Third Street in reference to a possible burglary. Upon arrival, officers were advised that the suspect had broke into the residence, assaulted the caller, and stole several items. At the time of this report, the suspect was identified however not located. A report was forwarded to the Dunklin County Prosecutors office for the filing of formal charges.

At approximately 11:13 p.m., officers arrested 17 year old Mallorie Brooks of Kennett on an active Kennett Municipal warrant for failure to appear. Brooks later posted bond and was released pending a new court date.

At approximately 11:30 p.m., officers received a report of a subject driving a scooter in a careless manner on Independence Avenue. Officers located and stopped the scooter during which they arrested 30 year old Kyle Dorris of Kennett for Driving While Intoxicated. Dorris was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center until he was later released on a Kennett Municipal Court summons pending his court date.

April 10, 2018

At approximately 3:52 p.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 600 block of Donaldson Cove in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers learned that no one wished to pursue charges and one party agreed to leave.

At approximately 7:49 p.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 400 block of Michael Street in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers learned that no one wished to pursue charges and one party agreed to leave.

April 11, 2018

At approximately 12:34 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on the South Bypass. During the stop, officers subsequently arrested 38 year old Dustin Hamlett of Malden on an active state of Missouri warrant issued out of Stoddard County. Hamlett was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

At approximately 8:26 a.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 600 block of E. 4th Street in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, officers learned that an item had been taken from outside the residence during the night. At the time of this report, there are no suspects.

At approximately 10:03 a.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1300 block of W. Washington Street in reference to a domestic disturbance involving a wanted person. Upon arrival and during subsequent investigation, the suspect assaulted an officer and fled on foot. After a brief foot pursuit, the suspect, 33 year old Anthony Brown of Kennett, was arrested for Assault 3rd Degree on a Law Enforcement Officer and resisting arrest. Brown was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center pending the filing of formal charges by the Dunklin County Prosecutor’s office.

At approximately 9:28 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Missouri Probation and Parole office in reference to a wanted person. Upon arrival, officers subsequently arrested 23 year old Josh Ward of Cardwell on an active Kennett Municipal warrant. Ward was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

At approximately 11:52 p.m., officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash on Providence Road. Upon arrival, officers learned that the driver had left the scene. After subsequent investigation, officers identified, located, and arrested the driver, 25 year old Michael Luttrell of Kennett, for Driving While Intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident. Luttrell was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center until he was later released on a Kennett Municipal Court summons pending his court date.

April 12, 2018

At approximately 10:20 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on the South Bypass near the Grecian restaurant. During the stop, officers subsequently arrested 21 year old Jackie Brown of Kennett and 25 year old Silas Smith of Portageville. Brown was arrested on an active Kennett Municipal warrant and Smith was arrested on an active state of Missouri warrant issued out of New Madrid County. Both subjects were held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrants only.

At approximately 4:52 p.m., officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a shoplifter. Upon arrival, officers were flagged down by Walmart employees who pointed out the suspect walking across the parking lot. As officers attempted to make contact with the suspect, he took off running and entered a vehicle on the lot. At that point the suspect began attempting to flee in the vehicle during which he almost struck an office and did strike an officers patrol vehicle. A vehicle pursuit then began travelling east on U.S. 412. The pursuit continued to Interstate 55 then turned north. The vehicle then turned east on Missouri Route P in New Madrid County and after a short distance the vehicle lost control, ran off the roadway, and became stuck in a ditch. At that point, officers arrested 45 year old Christopher Carter of Florissant Missouri for Felony Stealing, Assault 2nd Degree on a Law Enforcement officer, Resisting Arrest, Felonious Restraint, and Careless and Imprudent Driving. Carter was later transported to a medical facility due to a preexisting medical condition pending the filing of formal charges by the Dunklin County Justice Center.

At approximately 10:08 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Missouri Probation and Parole office in reference to a wanted person. Upon arrival, officers subsequently arrested 47 year old Richard Tippen of Kennett on a Probation and Parole warrant. Tippen was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

April 13, 2018

At approximately 12:54 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of North and North Everett Streets. During the stop officers located an undisclosed amount of marijuana. Officers subsequently arrested 25 year old Mitchell Richardson and 19 year old Chance Rettew both for Possession of Marijuana. Both Richardson and Rettew were released on a Kennett Municipal Court summons pending their court date.

At approximately 6:18 a.m., officer were dispatched to a residence in the 1200 block of East Second Street in reference to someone shining a flashlight in the residents’ windows. Upon arrival, officers located and subsequently arrested 45 year old Spencer Crawford of Kennett. Crawford was arrested on an active state of Missouri warrant issued out of Dunklin County. Crawford was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

At approximately 10:08 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Missouri Probation and Parole office in reference to a wanted person. Upon arrival, subsequently arrested 26 year old Eddie Taylor of Kennett. Taylor was arrested on an active state of Missouri warrant issued out of Dunklin County. Taylor was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

At approximately 10:19 a.m., officers were dispatched to Rent One in reference to someone refusing to pay their bill and or return their rental property. At the time of this report, the suspect has been identified however not located and a probably cause affidavit has been filed with the Dunklin County Prosecutor’s office for the filing of formal charges.

At approximately 11:35 a.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1300 block of W. Washington Street in reference to a burglary in progress. While enroute, officers received further information that a female had been injured and that the suspect had fled the residence on foot. Upon arrival, the victim was transported by the Medic One Ambulance service to the Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center for treatment. Officers subsequently located and arrested the suspect, 34 year old Larry Green of Malden, as he was attempting to hide in the back yard of a residence at the intersection of Emerson and North Streets. Green was arrested for Assault 1st Degree and Attempted Forcible Rape. Green was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center pending the filing of formal charges.

At approximately 10:08 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of S. Anthony and the South Bypass. During the stop, officers subsequently arrested 25 year old Frank Prejean of Paragould for assault - 4th degree on a Law Enforcement Officer, harassment - 1st degree, and littering. Prejean was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center pending the filing of formal charges.

April 14, 2018

At approximately 10:02 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Family Dollar Store located on First Street in reference to a shoplifter that had fled the store. Upon arrival, the suspect was not located nor identified.

At approximately 1:44 p.m., officers received information of a wanted person reportedly at a residence in the 1100 block of E. 3rd Street. Upon arrival, officers located and arrested 31 year old Darrel Easley of Kennett. Easley was arrested on an active Missouri Probation and Parole warrant. Easley was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

At approximately 2:06 p.m., officers arrested 30 year old Cortney Smith of Kennett. Smith was arrested on an active Kennett Municipal warrant as well as on four active state of Missouri warrants issued out of Dunklin County. Smith was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrants only.

At approximately 4:05 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Family Dollar Store located on First Street in reference to a shoplifter that had fled the store. Upon arrival, and after subsequent investigation officers were able to identify then later located and arrested 44 year old Forest Kingcade of Kennett for shoplifting. Kingcade was later released on a Kennett Municipal Court summons pending his court date.

At approximately 7:38 p.m., officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a shoplifter. Upon arrival, officers subsequently arrested 26 year old Michael Smith of Kennett. During the arrest, officers subsequently located a loaded firearm on Smith’s person as well as a large amount of marijuana. Officers were also able to determine that Smith, who was intoxicated, had drove to the store along with two children. At that point, Smith was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Stealing, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Use of a weapon, and two counts of endangering the Welfare of a Child. Smith was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center pending the filing of formal charges.

At approximately 10:38 p.m., officers arrested 28 year old Maudrice Daniels. Daniels was arrested on an active Kennett Municipal warrant and was later released pending a new court date after posting bond.

April 15, 2018

At approximately 1:38 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Jones and Hastings. During the stop, officers subsequently arrested 32 year old Franklin Carter of Kennett. Carter was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, No Proof of Insurance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and on an active Kennett Municipal warrant. Carter was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center.

At approximately 12:47 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Wal-Mart Supercenter in reference to a shoplifter. Upon arrival, and after subsequent investigation, officers arrested 47 year old Ricky Hamlett of Kennett for shoplifting. Hamlett was later released on a Kennett Municipal Court summons pending his court date.

At approximately 10:07 p.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 800 block of Hastings in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, and after subsequent investigation, officers noted that no one involved wished to pursue charges and that one party was in the process of leaving the residence.

April 16, 2018

At approximately 10:53 a.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Curt’s Grocery on Kennett Street in reference to a fight in progress with one party involved being armed with a hammer. Upon arrival, and after subsequent investigation, officers arrested 33 year old Johnny Reed of Kennett for 2 counts Assault 1st Degree, Armed Criminal Action, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Officers also arrested 28 year old Lisa Redden of Kennett for 2 counts Assault 1st Degree, Armed Criminal Action, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and also for Tampering with Physical Evidence. Both Reed and Redden were held in the Dunklin County Justice Center pending the filing of formal charges. It should be noted that one party involved in the altercation was transported by ambulance to seek medical treatment due to being struck with the hammer.

At approximately 11:22 a.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 300 block of South Anthony Street in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, officers noted that no one involved wished to pursue charges and that one party agreed to leave.

At approximately 11:49 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Higginbotham Family Dentist office located on First Street in reference to a burglary. Upon arrival, and during subsequent investigation, officers were able to identify a suspect. The suspect, 23 year old Kevin Deberry of Kennett, was later arrested. During the arrest of Deberry, officers also located an undisclosed amount of synthetic marijuana and were also able to determine Deberry’s involvement in other burglaries within the city. Deberry was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center pending the filing of formal charges and further investigation.

At approximately 2:40 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Kennett Police Department in reference to a domestic assault that had taken place just prior. Upon arrival, officers met with the victim who advised that their ex-spouse had assaulted them and then broke a window on their vehicle with children inside the vehicle. At that point, officers went to arrest the suspect however when located it was determined that the suspect had taken several medications in a suicide attempt. The suspect was released at that point to seek medical treatment however; a probable cause affidavit was filed with the Dunklin County Prosecutor’s office for the filing of formal charges.

At approximately 4:15 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Missouri Probation and Parole office in reference to an inmate having a warrant issued for them after bringing prohibited articles into the facility. Upon arrival, officers subsequently arrested 27 year old Kendra Malone of Kennett on the warrant at which point Malone fled the facility on foot. After other officers converged in the area, Malone was then detained, re-secured, and then transported to the Dunklin County Justice Center. Malone was held on the warrant as well as charges being sought for Escape and resisting.

April 17, 2018

At approximately 8:48 a.m., officers were dispatched to the New Image Consignment shop located on First Street in reference to a burglary. Upon arrival, and after subsequent investigation, officers identified the suspect as 23 year old Kevin Deberry. Deberry was located and arrested at this point as mentioned in the previous release.

At approximately 11:21 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Family Dollar Store located on First Street in reference to a shoplifter than had just left the store. Officers located and arrested 30 year old Carlos Hopper of Kennett for Shoplifting. Hopper was later released on a Kennett Municipal Court summons pending his court date.

At approximately 11:45 a.m., officers were contacted by Missouri State Children’s Division investigators in reference to an alleged child sexual assault. This incident is still under investigation with nothing further being released at this point.

At approximately 5:46 p.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1700 block of Independence to check the well being on individuals there. Upon arrival, and after subsequent investigation, officers arrested 27 year old Krystal Ward of Kennett on an active Kennett Municipal warrant. Ward was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only.

At approximately 6:43 p.m., officers began receiving calls of a juvenile breaking windows and causing a disturbance in the 200 block of West Fifth Street. Upon arrival and after subsequent investigation, officers located and detained the juvenile. The juvenile was later turned over to the Dunklin County Juvenile Office. A report was also forwarded to the juvenile office seeking several separate charges of property damage, peace disturbance, trespassing, and Tampering with City Utilities.

At approximately 8:40 p.m., officers were dispatched to Big E’s BBQ located on First Street in reference to a burglary. Upon arrival, and after subsequent investigation, officers were able to identify, locate, and arrest the suspect 25 year old Sherika Johnson of Kennett for 2nd Degree Burglary. Johnson was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center pending the filing of formal charges.
