Disturbance call leads to deadly shooting

At approximately 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 4, Special Agents with the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division were called to the Valero Gas Station, located at 11402, U.S. Hwy. 49 in Marmaduke, Ark. to investige a deadly shooting. 

Reports indicate Marmaduke Police were responding to a disturbance call at the Valero gas station, where two individuals had become involved in a verbal altercation.

According to Marmaduke officers, sometime during the altercation, the suspect, who was later identified as Adam C. Brown, 37, of Hornersville, Mo., pulled a gun and fired multiple times, severely injuring the victim, who has since been identified as Jeremy R. Green, 38, of Marmaduke. Green was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Brown was taken into custody and was transported to the Greene County Detention Center, where he is being held on a $1,000,000 bond and charged with first degree murder.
