Cookie weekend coming up

National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend, which has become a national holiday for Girl Scout Cookie fans, will take place February 24–26, 2017. Girls across the country will sell cookies at booths, door to door, and through Digital Cookie sales. On Saturday, Brownie Troop #71259 will be hosting a cookie booth at the Kennett Walmart Supercenter from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. These second graders will have all varieties of cookies on sell for $5 a box. The 2017 Cookie Weekend will mark the 100th year of Girl Scouts selling cookies and learning the basic skills and acumen they need to be leaders in business and sales, manage their personal and family finances, and gain self-sufficiency and confidence handling money. Girl Scouts will also debut a new cookie variety this cookie season to celebrate the 100th year of Girl Scout Cookies. The new S’mores cookie will be available nationwide. This newcomer will join legendary classics like Thin Mints and Caramel DeLites.
