Wednesday, November 18, 2015
On Tuesday morning, a bus could be seen rolling through Senath -- its destination was Senath-Hornersville Elementary School. The vehicle was covered in colorful symbols representing the many facets of maintaining good health. The vehicle belongs to Southeast Missouri State University and is a mobile dental office where employees complete everything from wellness checkups and cleanings, to pulling baby teeth and putting in fillings. According to Sheila Wagster, the S.H.O.W (Southeast Health on Wheels) Mobile wellness coordinator, the employees work for SEMO Health Network. They partner with Southeast Missouri State University in order to provide dental services to children in the area that would otherwise do without.
