The headline of a small article in the November 29, 1966 edition of the Daily Dunklin Democrat read simply "22 Leave For Induction." Among the names listed in the article was Cecil Paul "C.P." Bridges. The young man from Kennett, who was working as a produce truck driver for The McKnight Grocery Company in Sikeston, could have never imagined that the events that would come to pass after his number coming up would make him a part of Army aviation history.
