'Mother' Rainey celebrates 104th birthday

Isadore Rainey, known affectionately as "Mother" Rainey, cheers in celebration on a her milestone achievement -- celebrating her 104th birthday. Rainey, a resident at Heritage Nursing Center of Kennett, Rainey was born Sunday, Jan. 31, 1909 at Vimvelle, Miss., -- one of 12 children. After coming to the Kennett area around 1930, Rainey worked for Paul Jones, former publisher of the twice-a-week Dunklin Democrat, and John Dalton, who would later be elected Governor of Missouri.
