Wednesday, January 30, 2013

Keith Robertson
STEELE, Mo. ---- Keith Robertson, 33 of Steele, will next appear in court for his arraignment, scheduled for Feb. 5, 2013, where he will stand before Judge Fred W. Copeland at 10 a.m., at the Pemiscot County Courthouse in Caruthersville, Mo.

Robertson was arrested Jan. 16, 2013, after Steele Police Officers responded to a residence on Lynn Drive in reference to a domestic violence assault involving a handgun.

Robertson was arrested by officers after allegedly pulling out a handgun and placing the gun to his wifes head, while threatening to shoot her. The woman, whom he was threatening, was supposedly holding a baby during the incident.

During the altercation, according to authorities, Robertson physically assaulted his 18-year-old stepson by striking him across the head with the same gun.

When Robertson was arrested by Steele Police, no further incident was reported, and officers were able to secure the handgun.

Police Chief, Billy Joe Stanfield filed charges against Robertson, through the Pemiscot County Prosecuting Attorney's Office. A warrant was subsequently issued on Keith Robertson. His charges include; two counts of Domestic Assault in the first degree, two counts of Armed Criminal Action, one count of Domestic Assault in the second degree, one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child in the first degree, and one count of Unlawful use of a Weapon. On Jan. 17, his bond was set at $100,000.
