Floyd Leslie Benson, 86, of Senath, Mo., passed away Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at his residence.
Born March 31, 1926, in Clinton, Mo., son of the late C.M. Benson and Minnie Greene Benson, he was a member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church.
He married Stella Sharp in Rives, Mo.
Survivors include his wife, Stella Benson, of Senath; four sons, Larry Gunnels, of Holcomb, Mo., Kenneth Ray Hall, of Newbern, Tenn., Floyd Benson, JR., of Shirley, Ark., and Crawford Lynn Benson, of Holland, Mo.; five daughters, Paulette, of Georgia, Carolyn Cullum, of Beebe, Ark., Brenda Guffey, of Bonne Terre, Mo., Connie Bell and Delora Crawford, both of Kennett; one brother, Donald Benson, of Piggott, Ark.,; two sisters, Jolene Debott, of Illinois and Dorothy Wilfang, of Piggott; 31 grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by one son, Stanley Gunnels; one grandson, Joshua Crawford and one brother, Bill Benson.
Visitation will be from noon till service time at 2 p.m., Monday, Jan. 28, at Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett.
Graveside services will be follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett with Bro. Steve Bricker officiating.
