Born Aug. 4, 1935, in Hornersville, daughter of the late Vernon Lewis McCall and Maggie Mae Surratt McCall, she was in the farming business, and a member of the Hornersville Baptist Church. She won second place in the Annual Cotton Picking Contest in Arkansas.
On Oct. 8, 1949, in Piggott, Ark., she married H.A. "Bo" Lea, Jr., who preceded her in death on Jan. 6, 1994. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Geraldine Bradley and Ernestine Rapport.
Survivors include one son, Ronnie Lea, of Hornersville; two daughters, Kathy Holmes and husband, Carl, of Cordova, Tenn., and Vera Glueck and husband, Leonard, of Hornersville; five grandchildren, Lea Ann Burbank, and husband, Bill, of Lafe, Ark., Justin Miller, of Forrest City, Ark., Devon Wheeler and husband, Jay, of Jonesboro, Ark., and Remley Garrett Lea and Sadie Katherine Lea, both of Cabot, Ark.; five great-grandchildren, Beau Allen Burbank and Luke Edward Burbank, both of Lafe, Lexi Kay Miller and Jackson Allen Miller, both of Leachville, Ark., and Olivia Kate Wheeler, of Jonesboro, Ark.; several nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, Wednesday, Jan. 23, at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Hornersville. An Eastern Star service will be conducted at 7 p.m., today, Wednesday, at Bradshaw Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 24, at the Hornersville First Baptist Church with Revs. Paul Moore and Doug Clinton officiating.
Burial will follow in the Horner Cemetery at Hornersville.
