BENTON, Mo. ---- Four people were injured following a crash involving two vehicles Jan. 4, on Interstate 55.
According to Trooper D.K. Heppe with the Missouri State Highway Patrol, at approximately 2:05 p.m., Lana McAnulty, 51, of Sikeston, Mo., was driving north in a 2005 Dodge Caravan, when she struck the rear of a 1988 Ford Tempo, driven by 56 year old Waymon Franklin, of Campbell, also driving north.
McAnulty was treated for moderate injuries at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo., where she was taken by ambulance. Franklin was also taken to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau by ambulance where she was treated for minor injuries. Franklin's two passengers -- Cameron Gunter, 16, who was treated for moderate injuries, and Felicia Huber, 47, who was treated for minor injuries -- were both taken by ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center. Both Gunter and Huber are of Campbell.
The 2005 Dodge Caravan was reported to have moderate damage, while the 1988 Ford Tempo was totaled. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
