Holcomb boys enter Week 4 state basketball rankings

Less than a week after winning the Bloomfield Christmas Tournament for the first time in school history the Holcomb Hornets varsity boys basketball team has entered the state basketball rankings.

Holcomb (9-3) is ranked No. 6 in Class 2. The Bernie varsity boys are ranked No. 7 in Class 2. The Hayti, South Pemiscot, and Advanced boys received votes in Class 2.

The Leopold boys are ranked No. 8 in Class 1.

The Charleston boys are ranked No. 3 in Class 3. The Caruthersville boys received votes in Class 3.

The Sikeston boys are ranked No. 1 in Class 4.

The Saxony Lutheran girls are ranked No. 7 in Class 3 and the Dexter girls are ranked No. 8 in Class 4.

you are correct but Bernie was never 8-1. they were 10-0 before they lost. Never have liked their rankings for teams.

They never have been correct for Bernie actually when the rankings came out they were 11-1. I also don't understand why everyone makes such a big deal about holcombs ranking before Bernie lost they were #3 in the state. No respect for Bernie and this is after billings got beat by scc and they are still #1. Guess I just don't understand how they base their rankings.
