Malden woman injured after crashing into a parked car and house

A woman was injured following a single vehicle crash west of Malden, Friday morning.

According to Trooper T. P. Watson with the Missouri State Highway Patrol, at approximately 10:23 a.m., Shondra Risinger, 29 of Malden was driving north on Bernard Road in a 2010 Pontiac G6, when she ran off of the road, struck a sign then ran into a 1999 Mercury Sable parked at a residence, then struck the residence.

One member of the household, a 15 year old male, was inside the residence when it was struck by the car. He was uninjured.

Risinger was transported to Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter by ambulance, where she was treated for minor injuries.

The 2010 Pontiac G6 was reported to have had extensive damage and was towed from the scene. The 1999 Mercury Sable was left at the residence after having reported moderate damage.

No one was inside of the 1999 Mercury Sable at the time of the crash.

Risinger was reported to have not been wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.
