William Joseph Ford, 84, of Kennett, departed this life Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at National Health Care in Kennett. Mr. Ford was born June 13, 1928, in Flint Mich., to the late O. D. and Bessie Blazier Ford.
He was a member of First Assembly of God Church of Kennett and the founder, owner and operator of Ford's Hot Tamales for many years.
Survivors include one son, Joseph David Ford and wife, Anna Marie, of Kennett; three daughters, Delores Mae Bane and husband, Rick, Paula Ford Parnell and Rebecca Lynn Armstrong and husband, Terry, all of Kennett; one brother, Kenneth Ford of Kennett; one sister, Barbara Preston, of Kennett; 14 grandchildren, Tina Michelle McClish, Kristen Nicole Callis, Rebecca Leigh Branum, Jessica Dawn Ford, Joshua David Ford, Heather LaShay Armstrong, Justice Anthony Armstrong and William Alexander, all of Kennett, Michael Paul Bane, of Austin, Texas, Kristina Bane Gaddy, of Atlanta Ga., Nina Nicole Jamison, of Paragould, Ark., Nicholas Parnell, Samantha Jo Parnell and Makayla Parnell, all of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; 10 great grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carrie Rudd Ford, and one sister, Mary Lou Watson.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., today, Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at the 1st Assembly of God Church in Kennett with Bro. Jim Davis and Bro. Vodie Jackson officiating.
Interment will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett, under the direction of Faith Funeral Service in Manila, Ark.
Pallbearers were Joshua Ford, Nicholas Parnell, Justice Armstrong, Alex Parnell, Justin Ward and Jared Jamison.
Honorary Pallbearer was Bobby Joe Luttrell.
