George Junior Miller, age 80, of Jonesboro, died Sunday December 23, 2012 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro. Born at Bucoda, Missouri he was the son of the late George Washington and Melinda Troop Miller and was a former resident of Arbyrd, Missouri and Chicago, Illinois. He was a retired welder with H. B. Sackett Company in Chicago and had lived in Jonesboro for the past 16 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers, 1 sister, and 2 grandsons, Phillip and Nicholas Miller.

Funeral service was held today, December 27, 2012 at 2 p.m., at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville, Ark., with Rev. Don Seat officiating. Burial followed in the Leachville Cemetery. The family received visitors Wednesday evening, at the funeral home.

Mr. Miller is survived by his wife, Ona Mae Miller of the home; five sons, Jimmy Miller of Cardwell, Mo., Gary Miller of Senath, Mo., George Miller of Lodi, Wis., Charles Miller of Mexico, Jeffrey Miller of Harrisburg, Ms.; three daughters, Susie Lambdin of Arbyrd, Mo., Jennifer Thompson of Paragould, Ark., Laurie Parker of Cardwell; one brother, Herbert Miller of Cardwell; two sisters, Betty Frasier of Arbyrd, Mary Ann Campbell of Murray, Ky. He also leaves 22 grandchildren, 28 great- grandchildren and eight great great- grandchilren.
