Malden varsity boys beat South Pemiscot 74-70

STEELE, Mo. - The Malden Green Wave varsity boys basketball team defeated the South Pemiscot Bulldogs 74-70 Friday night.

Romello McCoy paced Malden with 27 points. Malik Perkins tallied 22 points for Malden and Cortez Dobbins added 17 more for the Green Wave.

Seth Harris led South Pemiscot with 22 points. Deshawn Pruitt added 13 points for the Bulldogs.

Malden was 28 of 48 from 2-point range and 2 of 6 from 3-point range. South Pemiscot was 1 of 10 from 3-point range and 26 of 45 from 2-point range.

Malden's record improves to 4-3 with the victory. The Green Wave are 1-1 in regular-season Bootheel Conference play.

South Pemiscot's record drops to 6-3 with the loss. South Pemiscot is 1-2 in regular-season Bootheel Conference play.
