Wardell man accused of deviant sexual acts

WARDELL, Mo. - A Wardell man has been accused of nine counts of Deviate Sexual Assault and one count of Abuse of a Health Care Recipient, according to Missouri Case Net. This is classified as a Felony C.

Charles Weaver, 56, was arraigned on these charges Monday in a Pemiscot County Courtroom.

Charges stem from a complaint received on Dec. 6 of this year by someone associated with the Division of Senior Services Division about the misconduct of an employee. Allegedly, the incidents occurred over a time frame of several months while Weaver was visiting with the victim in his home at Hayti, Mo.

According to authorities, Weaver was arrested on Friday of last week.

Originally, Weaver's bond was set at $250,000 but was reduced to $200,000. Bond was posted and Weaver is due back in court on at 10 a.m., on Dec. 20, 2012.

Weaver had been employed with the Division of Senior Services in Caruthersville, Mo.
