A woman was left injured following a three vehicle crash on Highway 25, north of Kennett, Friday, December 7, 2012.
According to T.P. Watson with the Missouri State Highway Patrol, at approximately 5:26 p.m., Angela Benson, 45, of Kennett was driving north in a 2001 Mercury Sable, Kelly King, 45, of Hayti, Mo., was driving north in a 2003 Chevrolet Impala, and Mark Sobralski, 24 of Kennett was driving north in a 2008 Dodge Avenger. All were traveling on Highway 25.
The crash occurred as all of the vehicles were traveling in a funeral procession. The procession abruptly stopped, leading to the 2001 Mercury Sable crashing into the 2008 Dodge Avenger and the 2003 Chevrolet Impala crashing into the 2001 Mercury Sable.
Dusti Jones, 25, of Kennett was a passenger in the 2001 Mercury Sable. Jones was treated for minor injures at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett, where she was taken to via ambulance.
The drivers of the vehicles did not report any injuries at the time of the crash.
The 2001 Mercury Sable was moderately damaged and was released to the owner. The 2003 Chevrolet Impala and the 2008 Dodge Avenger were reported to have had minor damages due to the crash and were driven from the scene.
King and Sobralski were reported to have been wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash, while Benson and Jones were not.
