While the Christmas season is near, the SEMO Little Theater in Kennett will be presenting "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever," during the next two weekends, Friday, December 7, Saturday, December 8, Friday, December 14, and Saturday, December 15.
The Christmas comedy tells the tale of a small church's Christmas pageant and the chaos that ensues when the town's juvenile delinquents decide to participate. The cast showcases some of the Kennett area's finest young performers as well as seasoned adult actors. In addition to the talented cast, professional actor and Kennett native Brandt Roberts provided the extraordinary technical design and direction.
"The whole cast has worked so hard on this production and they can't wait to perform it for their families, friends and neighbors. It has truly been a pleasure directing such an incredibly talented cast and crew," said Helen Casper, who is making her directorial debut with the production. "This show is one of my favorites. I performed in it for several years and it will always hold a special place in my heart. I sincerely hope that everyone comes out and sees it."
Tickets are currently on sale for $8 for adults and $5 for students, while children under 5 enter for free. Tickets may be reserved in advance by contacting Deborah at (573) 888-5172 or Helen at (573) 559-4540. Tickets will also be sold at the door, the evenings of the production.
