Kennett Coordinator, Ann Matthews noted that the event took place at the center on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, and was the college's way of showing its appreciation for choosing Three Rivers for their educational needs.
"The students are what makes the campus," she said, adding also her appreciation of the adjunct instructors who teach at the college. Continuing, she said, "This day was for honor as well."
Matthews added that all of the off campus centers try to do the appreciation days at least once a year and if time allows, one is done each semester.
Currently the facility has 250 students in attendance with 40 students who are enrolled and attend the Kennett and Hayti Career and Technology Centers in the Practical Nursing Program.
The evening's food consisted of chili and homemade desserts which were cooked by TRC officials.
"Great crew works for Three Rivers in Kennett and I appreciate them as well," Matthews said.
