RECTOR, Ark. - The Kennett varsity boys basketball team moved back to the .500 mark Saturday afternoon with a 65-42 win against Crowley's Ridge Academy at the Rector Hall of Fame Classic.

Crowley's Ridge Academy was led in scoring by James Scott who calculated 13 points and Luke Ellis who scored 12.

Kennett (2-2) will host Caruthersville in its conference opener Tuesday at 6 p.m.

"Caruthersville is going to come in ready to go," Vaughan said. "They are tremendously athletic with Monroe and their guards are quick. They play a fast style. We are going to take Sunday off and have a great practice Monday. The kids should be ready to go Tuesday. They'll be excited to play in front of the home crowd."
