Morris Dean Ellsworth, Sr., 64, of Malden died Sunday, November 25, 2012, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter. He was a factory worker and a member of the First General Baptist Church in Malden.
Born July 9, 1948, in Malden, he was the son of the late George Ellsworth and Opal (Gidcumb) Ellsworth. On December 27, 1966, in Malden, he was united in marriage to Joyce Akridge, who survives.
Also surviving is one daughter, Tammy and husband, Lee Garrison, of Malden; one son, Morris Ellsworth, Jr., and friend, Sandy Tucker, of Malden; grandchildren, Ty Garrison of Malden, Kaleigh Pulliam and husband, Adam, of Malden, Dalton Ellsworth of Malden and Peyton Ellsworth of Malden; great-grandchild Hayden Pulliam of Malden, one sister, Bonnie Akridge of Campbell and three brothers, Buford Ellsworth of St. Louis, Robert Ellsworth of Granite City, Mo., and Edmund Ellsworth of Malden.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Evelyn (Widge) Osenbrough and two brothers, Loyd Ellsworth and George Ellsworth.
Visitation will be held today, Wednesday, November 28, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Landess Funeral Home in Malden. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, November 29, at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Mr. Keith Kinder officiating. Burial will be in Rosewood First Addition Cemetery at Malden. Landess Funeral Home of Malden was in charge of arrangements.
