Jimmie Lee Tansil, Sr., son of the late William Tansil and Helen Kelley Tansil, was born Feb. 10, 1943, in Kennett, and passed away Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at Wadley Regional Medical Center on Texarkana, Texas at the age of 69. He was of Hope, Ark., formerly of Senath, Mo.
Survivors include two sons, Jimmie Lee Tansil, Jr., and wife, Jamie, of Senath, and Danny Tansil and wife, Virginia, of Paducah, Ky.; one daughter, Debra Farley and husband, Jerry, of Paragould, Ark.; three brothers, Bill Tansil and Tommy Tansil, both of Senath, and Dale Tansil, of Kerrville, Texas; two sisters, Betty Kramer and Katherine Green, both of Senath; eight grandchildren, and other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Bethany Grace Tansil; a brother, Bobby Tansil and two sisters, Mary Jane Tansil and Bethel May Tansil.
Visitation was held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 25, at McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, Nov. 26, at McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Winkle officiating.
Burial was in the Senath Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jimmie Tansil, Jr., Danny Tansil, Chris Tansil, Jerry Farley, Billy Wayne Tansil, Jr., and Daniel Tansil.,
