Leonard Decker, 85, of Rives, Mo., died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.
Mr. Decker was born July 1, 1927, in Qulin, Mo., to the late Marshie Oril and Rosa Reynolds Decker. He was a member of Northside Church of Christ in Blytheville, Ark., and enjoyed working in the garden and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Decker, of the home; one son, Hugh Decker and wife, Barbara, of Blytheville; three daughters, Connie June Howton and husband, Roger, of Kennett, Missouri, Diane Mooney and husband, Dennis, of Deering, Mo., and Rosa Decker, of Memphis, Tenn.; one brother, Vernon Decker, of Paris, Tenn.; two sisters, Bernice Rogers, of Poplar, Calif., and Juanita Luck, of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
Mr. Decker was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mildred Decker; two brothers, Leroy Decker and Verlon Decker; two sons, Ricky Decker and Mark Decker, and two grandchildren, Jody Lynn Mooney and Diana Dean Howton.
The family will receive visitors from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Northside Church of Christ, today, Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 21, at Northside Church of Christ with Michael Chaffin officiating.
Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele, Mo.
Faith Funeral Service in Manila, Ark., is in charge of arrangements.
