The Kennett middle school boys basketball program earned a split Thursday night against Sikeston.

Sikeston's seventh grade won its season opener against Kennett 56-40. Kennett beat Sikeston 48-42 in the eighth grade contest.

Kennett 7th & 8th Grade Girls Advance to Conference Finals


The Kennett seventh and eighth grade girls basketball teams are set to play in Bootheel Conference Tournament championship games Friday night following semifinal wins Thursday.

The Kennett eighth grade girls basketball team defeated Caruthersville 48-13 in its semifinal contest Thursday. The Kennett seventh grade girls basketball team cruised to a 22-4 semifinal win against South Pemiscot.

The seventh grade conference championship will take place Friday at 6 p.m. at South Pemiscot School. The eighth grade conference championship will take place Friday at approximately 7:30 p.m. at South Pemiscot School. No information regarding Kennett's opponents for Friday was available at press deadline.
