Pack 89 cub scouts and Troop 272 boy scouts will be participating in the annual Scouting for Food drive this Saturday in Kennett.

Last weekend scouts distributed bags on the doors of houses in Kennett and on Saturday morning scouts will come back to those houses to collect bags of food. The food will be taken to the local Helping Hand food pantry.

"Our scouts love to participate in this project and help share food with those people in need," said Assistant Cubmaster Shawn Sando.

Will Mobley, scoutmaster for Troop 272, added, "We ask everyone to fill up the blue Scouting for Food bags with can and non perishable food. Our scouts will be by on Saturday morning to pick them up."
