Shirley Diane Wilson, 57, of Rector, Ark., passed away from cancer on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at her sons home in Hernando, Miss.

She was born on Nov. 29, 1954, in Corcoran, Calif., to Melvin Eugene Parker and Shirley Belle Stevens Parker.

Diane began working at the Heritage Nursing Center in Kennett, Mo., as a bookkeeper in August of 1999 where she worked for 13 years. She was named Employee of the Month in April of 2012 just prior to going on leave due to her illness. Diane worked with an amazing group of friends that she dearly loved and that will forever be remembered and loved by her family for all that they have done for her in life and after her death.

Diane married Richard Lee Wilson in April 1999 in Kennett. They were happily married for 13 years before he passed away on Jan. 13, 2012.

She enjoyed her country home, spending time with her nine grandchildren and mispronouncing words just to get a reaction from people.

Diane is survived by her three sons, Rick Hargis, of Hernando, Miss., Cliff Hargis, of Lakeview, Ore., and Brian Parker, of Rector. She is also survived by her three brothers; Richard Parker, of Visalia, Calif., Tim Parker, of Gilbert, Ariz., and Jim Parker of Mesa, Ariz., and her sister, Sandi Parker, of Gilbert.

A memorial service will be held at 5:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 16th, at Southside Baptist Church at 701 South Walnut Street in Kennett. The immediate family will remain at the church for fellowship following the service.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made in the name of Diane Wilson to: Methodist Hospice at 6400 Shelby View Drive, suite 101, Memphis, TN 38134, and or Southside Baptist Church at 701 South Walnut Street, Kennett, MO 63857.
