CARDWELL, Mo. -- Recently, on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, Trinity Community Church, One Step Ministries, of Cardwell, held a food distribution which reached an estimated 175 families.

One major distributor of the food was Black Gold Potato from Arbyrd, Mo., donating potatoes and sweet potatoes. The organization also sent eight workers who helped pack the boxes and load them into people's vehicles.

One Step Ministries has been distributing food and personal supplies to local families since the year 2000. Church officials note that this time of year food gets very low and they are very appreciative of Black Gold not only for the potatoes but for the time they gave up on that day to help serve.

"We welcome any business or churches that would like to help with any donation of time or food items. It's a way to serve the people and show God's love as you help others. If interested in giving a donation or you would like to find out how to help, call Trinity Community Church [at] (573) 654-3329, or Larry Russell [at] (573) 654-3945," said Marilyn Russell, church representative.
