Dickie Glover Vantrease, 65, of Malden died Monday, October 29, 2012, at his residence in Malden. He was a Veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He was an OTR Truck Driver.

Born in Malden on May 24, 1947, he was the son of the late Wiley Leo Vantrease and Ruth I.dear (Glover) Vantrease. On Dec. 12, 1966, he was united in marriage to Donna Cooper. Later on June 21, 1969 in Maryland, he married Elizabeth Barker.

Survivors include two daughters, Vickie Titus and husband, Rex, of Poplar Bluff and Deanna Vantrease of Malden; one son, Scott Vantrease and wife, Melissa, of Burbank, Calif.; two brothers, James Vantrease of St. Ann, Mo., and Edmond Vantrease of Arnold, Mo., one sister, Nellie Wilburn of Florissant, Mo., and four grandsons, Tyrone Vantrease of Malden, Max Vantrease, Austin Vantrease and Dale Vantrease, all of Burbank, Calif.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Donald Vantrease, Jerry Vantrease and David Vantrease and five sisters, Doris Vantrease, Linda Vantrease, Charlotte Vantrease, Marilyn Sullivan and Artina Williams.

Visitation was held Friday, November 2, at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden. Funeral services were conducted immediately in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jack Allen officiating. Burial with Military Rites was in Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield. Bradshaw Funeral Home of Malden was in charge of arrangements.
