The Mayor of Malden, City Council and Chief of Police have agreed to move the Malden Halloween celebration to Tuesday, October 30. Trick or Treating will take place according to City Ordinance 223.010, which states that, the Trick or Treat time will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
The Bootheel Youth Museum who is sponsoring the Halloween Parade has moved the parade to Tuesday as well. Line up for the parade will be at 5:00 p.m. at the Mayberry parking lot, which is located on East Laclede St. The parade will start at 6:00 p.m. at Laclede and Madison and travel north to Burkhart St.
The festivities have been moved due to the Malden Green Wave Football playoff game, which is scheduled for October 31 at 7:00 p.m. The City of Malden is encouraging everyone who can to try to attend the football game and support your hometown Green Wave as they play the Charleston Blue Jays.
