Born Rachel Lee Anderson in St. Louis, Mo., on August 17, 1923.

Died on October 5, 2012 from complications related to advanced stages of Parkinson's disease.

"Rae" was preceded in death by husband, Elzey M. Roberts, Jr., in 2010.

She is survived by their two children, Lila L. Roberts, who is a Registered Nurse, and Carl A. Roberts, who served in the administrative offices of State Farm Insurance for many years.

In younger years, Rae worked as a professional model and purchaser of clothes for a department store.

She enjoyed lay reading and singing in the choir at St. Michael's and St. George's Episcopal Church.

Rae desired that the family heighten public awareness of the devastation caused by Parkinson's disease. Therefore, instead of flowers, Rae asked that memorial gifts toward the acquisition of a cure be made in her name. Please send gifts to one of the following: Parkinson's Research Program at Mayo Clinic Department of Development, 13400 E. Shea Blvd., Scottsdale, AZ 85259 (1-480·301·8326). Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, Grand Central Station, P.O. Box 4777, New York, NY 10163-4777 (1·800·708·7644)

Services: A memorial service will be held over the holidays. An announcement will be placed in the St. Louis Post Dispatch regarding date and location. Open invitation to all.

Arrangements by Kriegshauser West Mortuary, St. Louis, Mo.
