According to the Kennett Police Department, at approximately 1 p.m., on Wednesday, officers noticed a suspicious man, later identified as Mario Adaway, 25, walking near the junction of King and Second Streets.
When officers attempted to contact Adaway, he fled north on foot, crossed First Street and went into hiding on Whitney Street.
After a brief search, officers located Adaway hiding in a shed at a residence on Whitney Street.
He was arrested on two felony warrants with bond amounts set at $40,000 cash or surety and $30,000 cash only. Both warrants related to class C felony assault charges.
Adaway is scheduled to appear in court Friday, Oct. 12.
