One injured in two-car crash on Southwest Drive

One man was injured following a two vehicle crash on Southwest Drive in Kennett, Thursday afternoon.

According to the Kennett Police Department, at approximately 2:52 p.m., April Ross, 35, of Kennett was driving north in a 2009 Cadillac CTS when she began to slow down due to slow traffic in front of her. Robert Taylor, 22, also of Kennett, was driving north, behind Ross, in a 1999 Dodge Neon. When Ross began to slow down Taylor collided into the rear end of the Cadillac CTS.

Ross did not report any injuries, while Taylor had evident injuries. Taylor was taken to Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center by ambulance.

The damages to the 2009 Cadillac CTS and the 1999 Dodge Neon are undetermined at this time. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Taylor was reported to have not been wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash, Ross was reported wearing her seatbelt.
