HAYTI, Mo. - The Kennett junior varsity volleyball team finished Bootheel Conference regular-season play perfect with a come-from-behind 25-14, 23-25, 25-21, victory against Hayti Thursday.
Kennett trailed set 3 11-5 before it went on a 10-3 run to take a 15-14 lead. Hayti went back on top 17-16, but Kennett tallied the next four points to take a 20-17 lead and never trailed again.
"I think tonight was the first night our junior varsity really had to come back from a deficit," Green said. "They were able to do it. It's Homecoming Week and we appeared a little frazzled tonight. I think adjusting to Hayti's strong, consistent serve took us a while.
"The third set we rallied together and pulled it out," Green continued. "They laid it all out on the floor tonight. That's what it takes."

"I'm excited for next week," Green said. "We go in undefeated. I'm glad to have good competition like we had tonight. We got experience coming back tonight. When you are on top you always have the farthest to fall. We've got a great deal to work on over the weekend to get ready for Monday."
