One injured in two-car crash near Malden

One man was injured following a two vehicle crash on Thursday evening near Malden.

According to R. L. Vannada, with the Missouri State Highway Patrol, at approximately 6:15 p.m., Justin Bishop, 27, of Malden was driving west on a 2007 Honda Reflex Motorcycle on Highway J, two miles west of Malden, when Johnna Williamson, 23, of Dexter, Mo., driving east in a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix, pulled into the path of Bishop.

Bishop was moderately injured and was taken to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center by an ambulance. Williamson was reported not to have any injuries.

The 2007 Honda Reflex Motorcycle was totaled and was removed from the scene, while the 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix had minor damages and was driven from the scene.

Williamson was reported to have been wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash, meanwhile Bishop was not reported to have been using a safety device.
