Dorothy Juanita Wilkerson, 88, of Bragg City, Mo., passed away Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012, at her residence.
Born March 6, 1924, in the Bend Community on Black Island, daughter of the late Louis and Beulah Jenkins Ferrell, she was a 1942 geraduate of Caruthersville High School, and a member of the Bakerville Church of Christ.
On Sept. 13, 1957, in Piggott, Ark., she married David Wilkerson, who preceded her in death on July 18, 1993. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Terry Wilkerson; two sisters, Nima Hollis and Ruth Speight, and two brothers, Pete and Larry Ferrell.
Survivors include three sons, David Wilkerson and wife, Linda, of Bragg City, Teddy Wilkerson and wife, Tammy, of Paragould, Ark., and Tracy Wilkerson and wife, Lori, of Braggadocio, Mo.; one daughter, Mickey Wilkerson, of Bragg City; a twin sister, Clovie Dunavant, of Caruthersville, Mo.; grandchildren, David Wilkerson III, Sara and Chris Naifeh, Kelly and Tom Dullenty, K.P. Wilkerson, Zachary and Maddison Wilkerson, Katelyn Wilkerson and Ferrell Ruth Wilkerson, and great-grandchildren, Kaylee Hogan and Kasen and Keris Dullenty.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 25, at the Brimhall Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti, Mo., with James Powell officiating.
Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Hayti.
Pallbearers were Wade and Josh Ferrell, Chris Naifeh, Tom Dullenty, Johnathan Thrasher and Rocky Dunavant.
Honorary pallbearers were John Ferrell and Bryan Dunavant.
